Flaming Chronicles of Chojin Kung-Fu!! is Episode 5 of Yudetamago's anime series Tatakae!! Ramenman.

Summary[]

Ramenman takes on King Kong Brody.

Story[]

While Victory Ramenman and Shumai continue their training across various terrains and throughout snowy weather conditions, a gang of bandits led by martial artist King Kong Brody, terrorize the countryside. Brody interrogates a number of villagers, and as the sworn brother of Mercury Charsiuman, demands to know the whereabouts of Ramenman. The villagers, however, have no information, and he finishes them off with his deadly claws.

Elsewhere, Ramenman explains to Shumai that, although he has mastered the 102 Chojin Arts from the Fighting Dragon Secret Scroll, he can't take it to the next level. That's because he has not yet found the meaning in the scroll's blank pages, a task that Master Chen told him must be completed within a year's time. If he cannot accomplish that, then he simply cannot be the legitimate successor to Chojin Kung-fu.

Within moments, Ramenman is attacked by a mysterious masked martial artist, who kicks our hero into a river! Ramenman is able to keep himself from tumbling down a waterfall by using his Water-Surface Bisection Fist technique. He then faces off with the masked fighter only to realize… it's Master Chen! Chen tells Ramenman that the scroll is said to be weaved with the spirits of the previous successors of Chojin Kung-fu, and then disappears as quickly as he arrived.

Later, Ramenman and Shumai discover King Kong Brody's camp, and Brody immediately goes on the attack with a torch. Brody backs Ramenman up to a cliffside and continues the assault with his Hawk Talon Fist. While the battle rages, Shumai frees one of Brody's captives, a young villager named Tanmen, but just after he does so, Brody knocks Ramenman over the edge.

Brody's men search for their fallen foe, but cannot find him and assume his body flowed down river. Thankfully, Shumai got to Ramenman first and kept his master hidden until it was safe. Soon after, Tanmen arrived with some food to help nourish Ramenman and give him the strength to fight.

Before Brody and his crew could execute the rest of their captives, Ramenman arrives on the scene and challenges Brody to battle. Brody starts off with Hawk Talon Rending Fist, but it has no effect - Ramenman successfully dodges and diverts every attack and fights his way to victory with a Camel Clutch that breaks Brody's spine!

After the battle, Ramenman explains that the reason his clothes weren't ripped by Brody's claws was because he wrapped the scroll around himself, so the spirit of the past masters of Chojin Kung-Fu protected him. After unraveling the scroll, and seeing the word "Technique" on it for the first time, Ramenman realizes the blank pages are for the techniques that he must develop himself. Master Chen appears and says Ramenman's new Camel Clutch maneuver will be the 103rd Chojin Art added to the scroll.
