Kinnikuman Lady (キン肉マンレディー) is a manga by Masashi Ogawa. It is an alternate telling of Kinnikuman in which all the characters are female.

About[]

Kinnikuman Lady (キン肉マンレディー) is a manga by Masashi Ogawa. It was serialised in Ultra Jump Egg and published by Shueisha's Young Jump. Its title is a parody of Devilman Lady.

Based on the 1980s hit manga "Kinnikuman" (written by Yudetamago), this is a parody manga officially approved by the original author, in which the characters of the manga are replaced by women. The manga was serialized on Shueisha's webcomic site "Ultra Jump Egg" from June 19, 2008. The year 2008 marked the 29th anniversary of the serialization of "Kinnikuman," and a number of commemorative events were held to mark the occasion.

In the original work, most of the chojin are male, but this work is set in a parallel world in which most of the cast has been replaced by women. Only Meat Alexandria appears with his memories of the 'original world'; he acts as a sort of 'audience surrogate' for the story, as - like the readers - he knows the original story. Meat thus points out the differences between the original story and the parodied world.

In addition, many contradictions and tons of fan theories (commonly referred to as the Yudemo Theory) from the original work are still present in this version. In fact, this work seeks to resolves the contradictions of the original and make the fan theories 'canon'. For example, the Seven Devil Chojin are very different to the devil chojin that are first shown; this is explained by the manga stating that the media took photographs of both the original members and members in disguise, in an attempt to explain the discrepancies.

Summary[]

The story generally follows the original story, but characters such as the Copper Bellman and the Sphinx Man, who were largely neglected in the original story, tend to feature prominently in this version. In the feminization of the characters, there are some light sexual depictions, such as the exposure of breasts and buttocks. On the other hand, the heroines of the original story, such as Mari and Bibimba, do not appear in this version.

The story develops almost exactly as in the original until around the time of the Chojin Olympics Big Fight. In the middle of the "Seven Devil Chojin" arc, the story becomes a parody of the "Throne Arc," and the series abruptly ended.
