The Muscle Spark (マッスルスパーク) is one of the Kinnku Clan's Three Great Techniques carved upon the finishing hold fresco along with the Muscle Inferno and Muscle Revenger. It serves as the ultimate finishing move to Ataru, Nemesis, and series protagonist Kinnikuman.

Summary[]

When Kinnikuman perfects the technique, he immobilizes his opponent by preforming a bridge stretch beneath them, bouncing them higher and higher until they reach a certain height. Kinnikuman then follows behind them with a powerful leap that transitions into a submission as he pulls back on his opponent's arms and locks his legs around their neck and leg, which begins to tear their muscles and break their bones into two. While suspended in the air, Kinnikuman turns away from the opponent, transitioning into another bridge but locks on to their legs and holds their forearms in place as they begin to descend. The final slam has the opponent crash down on the back of their head before folding over onto their neck and shoulders.

Details[]

As there are many variations of the technique passed down from generation to generation, Silverman states that Kinnikuman was the only chojin to properly preform the move in his image.

Incomplete Versions[]

During Kinnikuman's match with Zebra, Kinnikuman catches a glimpse of the muscle spark after getting hit by the canvas presser. After he countered Zebra's Muscle Inferno, he improvised on the move by locking his legs around Zebra's left leg and neck while defeating him in the process (Muscle Grand Prix has Kinnikuman use the same move but ends with him farting in his opponent's face).

Later on in Ataru's fight with Super Phoenix, the former applied Kinnikuman's version of the Muscle Spark calling it "half" of the move before converting the finisher into his own half, which shows Ataru facing away from Phoenix with a bridge but keeping him locked by his arms and legs and driving him down to the mat calling it "Ataru's Version: Muscle Spark". The finish would be unsuccessful as Ataru's legs were vaporized mid attack, weakening the move. Silverman even states that while Nemesis's Muscle Spark is preformed perfectly, it lacks a heart of mercy and is therefore incomplete.

70 Million Power[]

A stronger version of the original Muscle Spark that Kinnikuman preforms after regaining his Burning Inner Strength. Kinnikuman preforms the bridge in midair, going even higher and cinches the submission part of the Muscle Spark on top the opponent rather than behind them and pulls back farther than the original.

Arrogant Spark[]

The (Perfect Second:) Arrogant Spark is the original version of the Muscle Spark invented by Silverman who forbade himself from using it in a match as the move was far too deadly and exposes his violent nature. While it shares the slam of the move, the submissions are different; Silverman wraps his legs around the opponent's neck and left leg (Similarly to Kinnikuman's incomplete spark), and pulls their arms far back them in opposite directions.
